The audio interface has been of some use. The box was nice, so many promises, it was going to do so much and help me convert a load of old recordings to digital ~ HA!
Just about everything. The program is all thumbs, meaning it is sloppy. The interface is inaccurate, meaning trying to tag things in order to break them up into individual parts is highly inaccurate and irritating. It is not user friendly and neither is the company, as others have noticed, there isn't anything one could call 'support' or 'customer service'...
Steinberg Clean 5, the software, has only been a pain from the start, from difficulties setting it up to problems with track listings and resultant huge file names. The automatic fix usually results in a dull lifeless sound. When using the graph at the bottom, either to select tracks or to follow the play or find a section, it is so clumsy and inaccurate that it is useless.
I have repeatedly tried to contact Steinberg, first for just a little help ~ nothing, again the term 'useless' applies. On this experience alone I've ended up going with other companies for other music software. If this is what they do with a small package, well, despite all the raves, I haven't any faith in their bigger products. I own and liked Wavelab, but after this hell I bought SoundForge instead of upgrading WaveLab.
