Bad Points

The computer didn't work when it arrived


General Comments

We ordered a new PC for our son for Christmas from The Park Christmas Hampers catalogue, and we were pleased when it arrived a few days before Christmas as planned.

Once the computer had been set up it didn't work. It loaded up so far and then froze, and this happened each time. We arranged for the computer to be collected and repaired, and then returned to us. Firstly, someone tried to deliver this to us without contacting us, which resulted in us collecting the computer from a depot 30 minutes away from us.

Pleased to have it back, we tried to set it back up, but this time the computer didn't even turn on. We spoke to a representative at Park Hampers, who at first tried passing the buck by stating that we needed to speak direct to Quantum Computers.

After a lengthy discussion, Park Catalogue agreed to collect the computer and give us a full refund.

That call was made on the 24th January, and we are still waiting. No-one has contacted us to arrange collection, let alone mention our refund. We have since contacted them, and have been told on both occasions that someone will contact us regarding collection, and guess what? No-one has.

Needless to say we are still waiting for someone to contact us regarding collection so we can buy our son the computer that he was promised.

£1000.00 may not be a lot of money to Park Hampers, but it definitely is to us!
