Bad Points

No trade in, no test drives - but you can sort these with a local dealer anyway.


General Comments

If what you want is to get the best discount on a new car, this is the way to go. I scoured the internet for the best discount on a new Audi A4 and Drive the Deal offered around 11% off. The best the local dealer would offer was 2%! despite the fact that I have bought cars from them in the past and they service them. My next new car will definately come via Drive the Deal.

The deal works by you selecting the exact spec of the car you want on their website and then committing to buy at the price quoted. They then put you in touch with a main dealer, who take a deposit off you (10% in my case). Twelve weeks later the car was delivered to my house on a transporter. I never paid any money to Drive the Deal, so presumably they have a commission scheme that operates in the background with the supplying dealer.
