Good Points

Pretty fast.


Bad Points

Have had to replace the hard drive twice, the hinges are cracking, screen will not support itself and recalled power adapter.


General Comments

My Dell Inspiron 2650 Laptop was great when I first bought it. However, a year after I had purchased it the plastic at the hinges started to crack, and now the screen won't support itself. Also, I have had to replace the hard drive twice. Beware! Has anyone else had this problem? Dell claims that it isn't responsible for it, and I am talking to the local BBB chapter for representing me and some others if this is a frequent problem.

    I have bought a dell inspiron 1525, had it for 6 months and I am having the same problem with the hinges, the right one has cracked and doesnt support the screen, I am worried the left one will go the same way. I was just wondering what happened with yours? Did they fix it? I will be gutted if they won't as it is still new to me!

    I am doubtful. They were complete jerks. Their customer service is awful. Try to get them to. Keep a log of when you called, who talked to, and what was said. It is excellent for submitting to the Better Business Bureau. That was my mistake when I had filed a complaint. I did not keep tabs on the number of times that I was on the phone with problems.
