Good Points

will connect you to the highest speed your line can support for £18.99
Speed is always up to the mark
Profits go to charity (you get to chose which of the several they are connected with).

Bad Points

5Mb download limit, with a charge of £2.00 per extra Mb used per month
Only one email address for the account

General Comments

Waitrose broadband is nothing to write home about. It is fine for light users, beyond that go for an unlimited package.

   I'm sure that you mean 5GB download limit, not 5MB.

   Your review would have been more helpful if you'd commented on the reliability of the Waitrose service, and the accessibility and expertise of their tech support. I have not used Waitrose (I have an unlimited service ISP and able to fix my own faults), but a non computer-tech friend has nothing but praise for Waitrose, compared to the problems she used to have with BT.

   We have just escaped from the Orange nightmare of constant disconnections, and unhelpful staff who are only able to read from a script and inevitably blame either the customer's installation or the BT line.
   I can't praise Waitrose Broadband highly enough; it was connected when they said it would be, and a small problem I had was sorted out with patience and courtesy on the free phone service. A filter failed after a couple of days, and within 24 hours a replacement was delivered.
   The broadband works constantly and perfectly using the same line, which Orange claimed to be the cause of every problem.
   Two reasons I chose Waitrose were that the company has a good reputation to protect, and all profits go to a charity of your choice.

   I agree with you regarding the single account. This was not made clear before I signed up in fact it is not mentioned anywhere on their website. After a frustrating month during which my husband and I forwarded emails to each other I finally found someone who had a solution. You set up a Pay As You Go account on their website and use the information entered to set up an account in Outlook Express (assuming you use Outlook Express). I am assured that I do not have to pay for this. It does mean than we have to change email addresses yet again, but hey, at least we have a solution!
   
   In their defense there was always someone to talk to and they did persevere when I was unhappy with their solutions.
