General Comments

Set up of my Matsui DTR-1 freeview box was so easy. I don't have any special aerials, but I must get a good signal. The box found all the available channels.

It is a nice slim unit in silver. There is an annoying delay to change channels when the remote is pressed, but I put up with it. Had to get a replacement remote from Currys when my son broke it, but I received it very quickly. The clock has a mind of its own, so I never use the timer.

The menu can show a list of channels and a small picture in the top right hand corner, and you can scroll down to see what else is on. I have the scart looped into my VCR so I can record from the aerial or Freeview and watch another channel using an RF cable. My TV only has two scart sockets, so I have to unplug the VCR and plug in the DVD if I want to watch it. I have tried scart multi units, but I couldn't get it to work.

I no longer own this unit after it stopped working in 2007.
