Your comments of the windage issue with the Benjamin Crosman EB17 I have noted, but may I suggest that the correction of the windage issue may be better achieved by elongating the front screw hole in a left and/or right direction, if the existing limitations are not enough. I found the same issue with my EB9a. I personally would be a reluctant to file off the front flang, and then rely on twisting the rear sight assembly. I imagine that this must change the site picture of the front sight through the rear sight. In one of the comments I noticed that it was suggested hitting it with a rubber hammer. Hitting it with a rubber hammer( or anything else) I am not the most scientific way of trying to correct the problem. But who knows!
