Good new aircraft with decent legroom. Good in flight entertainment.
Rude unhelpful staff. Complete lack of any help with children on flight.
Poor check in staff.
V Poor quality and quantity of food and drink.
Had very bad experience experiences recently flying with two young children on Air New Zealand. They went out of their way, unlike most other airlines, to make life difficult. The had refused to take any account of travel agents' requests for suitable seats for the children despite us buying seats for all as part of round the world tickets and despite the fact that the flight turned out to be only 33% full. They even insisted that 2kg (yes TWO KG) of our hand baggage for use for the children was taken out and put into the hold due to a strict insistence of only 7KG in hand baggage. Just a ridiculously dogmatic attitude. No facility for taking buggies beyond check in.
PARENTS!! DON'T USE THIS AIRLINE!!!
Unbelievably rude and unhelpful checkin staff on both the flights we had. Cabin crew even more brusque and unhelpful. No wonder they fare worse than most other airlines on this website.
