Good Points

Bad Points

Hard to use
Manual useless for its Bluetooth Information
Fotocall v.hard to work
Can't get onto the internet
No support from Phillips at all - dont seem to care once they have had a sale
Could go on and on and on in this box
Can't add words to the predictive text
Fotocall big selling feature - only 4 percent of memory for the pictures though so the anmount of picture you can get accross if you ever can is limited

General Comments

To start with I was very impressed by the Philips Fisio 825 mobile phone. Lovely colour screen - icons seem easy to use etc. BUT the negatives definately outweigh the positives. Phillips don't seem to give a damn - once you've bought the phone that seems to be where customer care ends. Reading other peoples review this would seem to be the case for a lot of people. The instructions are appaling especially for the main selling feature "fotocall". Really hard to get bluetooth set up to recognise your phoine, and then when you do like me, the mobile phone tools sits there saying "installing" and that's that - until it has installed you cant down load pictures and mine will get no further than this screen - (if anyone knows how, do tell!) This is my second phone - had to return the first as the phone kept crashing out - screen would black out and freeze. The first phone would install for the pictures so now I'm left wonderring if I got a dodgy second phone! I hope no kids out there are wasting pocket money on it thinking it will be really cool to have photos of their mates on the phone cos it aint that easy. Also you can only have 10 pictures on there and that's if the paltry memory will allow it - over 70% of the memory is taken up by the phone's ONE game!

My advice is if you are going to buy this phone go do a computer degree first cos Phillips dont seem to wanna know about it - everyone's reviews say so, so you'll be out there on your own!

Known fault - some 825's were shipped with 70% memory full - should be around 20%. Replace under warranty.

i think pauls opinion is right i am 13 and i went to buy a phone I had to choose between this and the panasonic I regret my choice now. the screen is always crashing and i havent been able to download anything onto it it is a useless peice of junk and isnt worth the money

I though i was the only person to have troubles with this fone. I wasted all my pocket money on this fone, people seem to like the size of the fone but only see it as skin deep. I havn't been able to download any thing onto this mobile and im sick of it. I cant believe they want 35 quide for a wire to sync it with the pc 'rip off' Philips have got the size shape colours and screen right but have left out key features. Or should i say lacked. The features are there but no one can use the damn thing. I have mine on virgin and i still havent found these so called ringtones and background pictures. This phone is and overrated dissapointment

There's not much point replacing your phone under warranty if it has a memory problem...the chances are that you will get another phone with exatly the same problem. Get it sent off for reformatting...and request a loan phone in the mean time.

I had no luck setting up the mobile phone tools. However, I was able to use the Xtend software to connect it via Bluetooth to a PC and then transfer pictures. Frankly, it is almost too much trouble to make it worth bothering. You can delete some of the pre-installed pictures to free up space. It is also necessary to shrink down your pictures to fit the screen and get the file size down to a few kilobytes.
