General Comments

I had been paying my Providian Emerge credit card off since I dropped their card several years ago. I was paying through a credit service. Emerge asked me to drop the credit service and I would not be charged interest on the balance remaining. They were to take out of my checking account the payment every month. Now I find out that they have no record of the deal I made with them, even though I had upheld my end of the deal and dropped the credit service that I had been paying them every month. Through the credit service I was paying 9% interest, and now Emerge tell me they are charging me 30% interest.
