General Comments

Firstly, I would point out that I went to my local Comet store to see all the LCD TV's I was interested in running side by side, and I can quite honestly say that I was not impressed with any of the pictures these TV's were displaying. It was only when I went to my local Independent retailer who had them set up correctly, was I knocked out by the incredible picture the Toshiba 32WLT58 was displaying. Stupidly Places like Comet don't bother setting the displays up properly, and the TV's all seem to share the RF feed, making the picture quality pretty poor. I ended up purchasing the 32WLT58 from the Toshiba outlet at Cheshire Oaks. I paid £849 (£400 cheaper than Comet), and I can quite honestly say that if I had paid the £1249 for it, I would have been pleased.

The picture quality is incredible, and the SRS WOW sound is deep and clear. When you plug the TV in, you get a welcome screen thanking you for purchasing the TV, and it asks if you want to set it up. When you press enter, all you have to do is sit there and watch the TV sort through the Analogue channels and place them in the right order, then the same again for the integrated Digital Receiver. The connections are well set out with 2 HDMI sockets, making it future proof for 2 HD devices to be connected. The remote is uninspiring. It would have been nice to have a metal one rather than plastic, but it makes it cheaper to replace should it get lost. I was most impressed with the picture quality on Digital, as a few other sets I had looked at had some pixelating, but there was none at all on this set, and the sound was rich but deep.

I would recommend this TV to anyone. Well done Toshiba!
