No good can come out of a bad experience


Bad Points

I did not buy anything with the Providian Emerge Credit Card.


General Comments

Just like many other people, I had a fleet credit card for a long time, and along came Providian Emerge, and with it came all the problems of having to deal with people in some remote place - no office to visit or a caring person to talk with.
For over Three months now I show a credit balance of over $3000 on my account because I send a payment of $4000.
I have been requesting the refund from Emerge, and every time I call the India office, I get a new person to tell me a new reason as to why they have not sent my refund to me. And when I request to talk with a supervisor, they put me on hold for five to fifteen minutes, then they cut the line, so I have to call back and go over the very same thing again.
I contacted Emerge a total of seven times, and they are still giving me some stupid reason that they will be mailing my check within seven working days. Today I was told by a service desk professional that they are checking the records to be sure, and that all I have to do is sit and wait.
How can I get my money back from this outfit? Are they giving me the run around ? Do they have an office that I can visit? All I want is my Money.

    Very True, Last evening I spent over 2 hrs trying to get someone to talk to. I was put on hold, disconnected and this was over and over. This is not a good company to do business with. Stay well away from them. They will shaft you like they have shafted so many others.
