Delivery, promises, dealing with different person every time
General Comments
Ordered some items (towel rail, some hooks and a wine rack) in October 2005. In November 2005 was told earliest delivery date was 21st December 2005. Half the goods appeared on January 5th 2006. Then phone message from B&Q stating 24th February earliest delivery date and asked me to confirm ... except they didn't leave a telephone number. Another phone call from promising March 7th Delivery. Complained and was told I would be called within 2 hours to discuss my complaint and that note added to order to prioritise my items. No-one called back. Another call to promise March delivery. Asked if order had been prioritised. No. Told young man that I didn't believe delivery date and that it was interesting that B&Q have a section for compliments on the website but nothing for complaints. Expect the system would be overloaded if they had one. Asked for complaints Dept and was told it was on a Business Park in Doncaster. he couldn't give me a telephone number or name to call.

on 9th Feb 2006Already been through Customer Services. They apologised but as usual couldn't do anything about it. Now the recorded message states there's been a fire at the warehouse and kitchen and bathroom items will be delayed! So whats new ... just means that they have an excuse now.

on 22nd Feb 2006Well, well, well, another call from B&Q telling me that my delivery date of 23rd February 2006 is to be postponed to 8th April 2006. No mention of the March 7th 2006 delivery I was promised during one of their calls. I have started mentioning the year as I suspect that this may well run into 2007 !!!
All this for a couple of small items ordered in October 2005 !!!!!!!!!!!!!
