Good Points

Comfortable, good driving position. High driving position gives great all round view of what is going on.

Bad Points

Heavy maintenance cost. Seats are heavy to take in and out and cause scrathes on brackets.

General Comments

I replaced my very expensive Ford Galaxy windscreen wiper motor just a year ago and there are already signs of it deteriorating again.

I have a ford galaxy and the windscreen wiper motor has just packed up, the cause of which was the linkage on the drivers side which had seized up, if you need a new motor volkswagen sell them cheaper than ford. Is it possible to get them reconditioned?

I have a 2000 2.3 zetec and also have trouble with windscreen wipers ford tried to charge nearly £800.00, but i have found out it is the spindles from the mechenism to the wiper arms gets clogged up with muck and causes them to seize. What is needed is lashings of penitrating oil after removing the circlip and washer then a small o ring try and work it up and down with oil. It cured mine just remember to clean the drains reguarly and oil them up well, its damn site cheaper than new motors and mechenisms hope this helps someone.

I am desperate i have just been informed that i need to replace my ford galaxy zetec windscreen wiper motor at a cost of £316 pounds plus. I need to find a second hand part (Just cannot afford new) i have been told that this is occurring a lot on the newer Galaxies is this true, if so is it a manufacturing fault?
