General Comments
We signed up with Scottish Gas communications as we were not getting good service from BT. We suddenly started to get bills from Onetel, and when we enquired why, they said they had been in touch to tell us of the change.
We received a bill for £160, and not knowing why, I called and they said it was from a bill in November. I asked for a copy of the bill, as I had never had one for so much, and had no bank record of them trying to take the money. We are still waiting for the bill (2 months later), and our phone keeps being cut off because I won't pay them the £160 until I see a bill. The call centre staff say they have no records of us ever calling to query the bill.

Victoria........this is all in line with the unwelcome trend in the proliferation of 'service providers' claiming to be that much better than the competition.
In my opinion, it's all a scam and is designed to make a quick buck for themselves. The customer -- most probably regarded as the 'punter' -- is merely a source of revenue.
