General Comments
Things that make you go 'Hmm'. Fooled by the advertising, the popularity of the iPod (40 million sold!!?) and the excellence of iTunes on the PC, I invested nearly £300 in an iPod 60GB.
Just 6 days after starting to use it it failed. The website/software back-up is very poor, but Apple's attitude and understanding of the meaning of a global warranty is worse.
I want a refund, but I am getting a repair (and using up 2 weeks out of the 90 period - where they'll deign to fix their inadequate product without charging me for shipping and advice - in the process) - all this despite a 12 month global warranty, and purchasing via a 'partner' retailer.
If I had my time again I'd buy a Sony - better sound and construction and much, much more reliable.

ipods have generally never been designed to last more than 12 months. The battery can only withstand 500 cycles which is 500 full charges or 500 discharges then it packs in and apple will want £59 of you to replace it. Plus with it being a video ipod that can only handle 2 hours of video on 1 full charge you will reach the 500 charges amount quicker than quick then you will have to fork out more cash for a new battery and you have to send it away to apple for this to be done. Screen scratches very easily just put it in your soft pocket with no other objects in there and watch in amazement how the screen has more scratches than a hiphop DJ has on his records.
