Technical support
Continuous credit/debit card payment only
Almost no customer support online
Connection takes a little while in the mornings
Promised 8MB has yet to arrive
Seriously internet is good value for money. Set up was easy, and the telephone technical support sorted out the only problem I encountered.
It takes a while to connect in the mornings, but it is almost instantaneous in the evening (not sure what causes this). The 8MB service has yet to materialise, but when it does the value for money will increase considerably.
It is unfortunate that they only accept continuous credit/debit card payment. This means that you give Seriously Internet authority to take payment from your card whenever they want - rather than setting up a direct debit that you control. I got a new bank card because mine was damaged, and I was unable to add the new card details using the very basic online 'control panel'. The result was £3 of telephone calls to the helpline to resolve the problem, and being disconnected in the meantime. Direct debits would avoid this problem, so hopefully they will introduce this payment option soon.
