General Comments
Tiscali, hands down have got to be one of, if not the worst, ISP out there as regards their customer service levels; and the service they provide is poor to say the least.

I signed up with Tiscali in September 2005 for the 1MB unlimited package at £14.99. Installation was free, and I received my modem 1 week after it was due. The modem and install package is cheap at best, and one of the provided filters was broken. Anyway, the upload/download is NOT what they advertise. I received an upload/download speed that was barely better than dial-up. The customer service department are disgraceful, patronising and all seem to be reading from a different script - everybody had a different answer when my service went down.

Try AOL my friend.
Eight months ago, I upgraded to their broadband which has never been less than ten times faster than dial-up - at any time.

Two weeks ago, my phone went dead (BT engineer found water in a junction box under the pavement), but my Internet connection only suffered a few disconnections which were righted almost immediately by the AOL software.

I've no experience of any ISP other than AOL which certainly works for me. You could do worse than give them a try and I wish you better luck for the future whatever you choose.

um u seem to forget the internet is free to opinions so u cant tell me wat to do, and the majority of the people in the uk are going wireless anyway so i thought i'd bring it into the equation considering netgear is one of the only compatable pieces of kit that work with AOL! costing like £120 in total!
so really AOL isnt all that much better.

The reviewer said nothing about "wireless" - which is another matter, so why introduce it?
It would be more helpful if you kept to the point.
