The Humax PVR 9000T is everything it is cracked up to be. Attractive, simple design lines. It is simplicity itself to set up, and the menu is the easiest I have seen.
Previously I used a VCR, and recording digital channels was a nightmare and something my wife found impossible to understand. With the 9000T it could not be easier.
The picture image is superb on live or playback. Recording two channels at once whilst watching a recorded programme is no effort.
The only negative comment I have to make, and it is a small one, is that the programme record time is slightly less than the scheduled time, and it is possible to miss the last few seconds of a programme, which can be annoying. However, you can prevent this by manually adding a few minutes to the programme time after you have set up the recording.
I understand from the Humax support line that this has been noted, and they say a software update will come out in February to automatically add some time to the end time of a programme.
The Humax PVR 9000T is an excellent Hard Drive recorder that I cannot fault.
I have not yet used it to download music or photo's from my PC, so I cannot comment on these features.
