Good Points

Good looking, loads of room, torquey engine, sharp handling, well equiped, quiet, comfortable, well built and extremely good fuel economy.

Bad Points

Easy to stall.
Puddle lights under the mirrors come on with no option to switch them off.

General Comments

I bought my Mondeo 2.0 TDCi 130 Ghia with 7k miles from 'Ford Direct' and I'm over the moon with it. It feels like a BMW to drive with a well built interior and solid feel when driving. Around town i'm getting 46mpg and between 58-66mpg on the motorway. The 'Sony' stereo is very good with finger tip controls within easy reach by the steering wheel but not intrusive like the Peugeot 406. The midrange pull from the 130bhp diesel is remarkable, a vast difference from old. Mine is an estate and has a huge load area with a wide rear tailgate to allow easy access, the seats fold flat in the rear (unlike the 'WHAT CAR' review said about it) and this creates a large flat surface to aid loading. I bought the GHIA model because I liked the extra chrome bits and the stereo but didn't fancy the leather and heated seats of the 'X' model.
