The hotel is well positioned for the ski slopes.
There are plenty of bars and restaurants. The hiring of ski gear was very affordable, it cost £30 or 45 euros to hire skis, boots and poles for 3 days. The people were very friendly and helpful. Nighlife is ok but not brilliant.
Food in the hotel was nice but often only warm and after a day on the piste a hot meal was needed. The bar only stays open until midnight and there is no chance of a restaurant in the resort after 10.30pm.
French customs officers wait for mainly British cars on the return trip to take away any cigs you have over the 300 limit.
In febuary 2003 I did a self drive from the UK and it took me 10 hours from Calais to get to the resort.
Hotel meals:-
breakfast - continental
evening meal - 3 course
Hotel parking :- underneath the hotel for a small fee.
nighlife :- ok but not that busy - usually a band playing but most people subdued following a days skiing or boarding.
skiing :- fantastic slopes from beginner to pro.
coaching readily available.
most people there have been to other skii resorts and vowed nether to go anywhere else.
Shopping :- go to Andorra La Ville the main shopping centre where there are thousand of shops including Malls etc. tax free shopping at its best but be careful of customs limits.
general :- I thoroughly recommend Andorra and will be back next year.
