Good Points

Removable storage... (Latest memory 1gb MMC for around £30)... Radio In-built, and works as a hands-free kit for compatible mobile Nokia phones. Hangs snugly around your neck. Sound quality is very good and it lasts for a long time (Unlike certain other MP3's I've had in the past). VERY VERY compact, lightweight, drop proof and easy to use! The memory upgrade will take it up to about the same price as less reliable players, but is well worth it.

Bad Points

I've had mine for around 4 years now, and everything has been working fine. Although the rewind button has become ultra-sensitive, and the right hand ear-phone has just bottomed out (Tempermentally). Apart from that (and a few re-start issues, which I found to be normal) and the software is dated, but fairly straight forward. The headphones aren't the greatest, but neither are any that you get with the top of the range.

General Comments

I feel this Nokia HDR-1 MP3 player is the best I've bought... I've had it a few years and have had no drastic problems with it. I would say DO NOT BUY SECOND HAND! Unless it has been FULLY re-conditioned... It has lasted for such a long time, and as most things are built NOT TO LAST, I believe the ONLY reason someone would sell it is that it needs to be re-conditioned... worth it if you wish to have a good reliable player that will last you for years that you can take anywhere with you and discretely hidden... (Batteries last a few days, so I would advise high capacity re-chargeable camera batteries and a charger).
