General Comments

I absolutely hate my bosch dishwasher! I just finished unloading the glasses and they look awful, I have to wash them by hand....again! Silverware isn't much better.
I have had servicemen tell me I used too much soap, not enough soap, my dishes are too clean going in (dishwasher works best when dishes are dirty)....clean the filter, no need to clean the filter. If you are considering a Bosch diswasher, I would look elsewhere. Everyone I know who has a Bosch dislikes it also.

I have a Bosch dishwasher and RAVE about it (and my Bosch w/dryer) after owning several other brands of appliances over the years. Upon arrival I didn't follows the washing detergent brand recommendations as I had other products to use up and WAS getting less than stellar results. Since I have followed the instructions and use the recommended detergent tabs and drying agent "that came with my dishwasher" there's no room for any complaints. I stuff it with dirty (unrinsed) dishes that sometimes sit for days in there until...FULL!!! When I open it after a wash I find that everything is clean and dry. The only problem occurs when something shifts in its powerful cycles and becomes stacked. I really like that it performs QUIETLY after dinner and I can be in the kitchen doing other chores and barely notice that its on.

Depends on what model of Bosch. The SHU series is bad

I don't think that the repairmen really know what they are talking about. They also rarely stay around long enough to see a cycle to its completion and the end results.

Love my Bosch, extremely quiet, and when hte washing is completed everything is clean-including the inside of the dishwasher. You MUST use the type rinse agent recommended to obtain proper results AND if your water is less than 160 use liquid detergent-powder does not dissolve at lower temperatures!!

I do not have a Bosch Dishwasher but am considering it as 3 people I know love theirs. I bought a fairly expensive Kitchenaid 3 years ago. It was not great from the start. My old, cheap Whirlpool cleaned better. I never used rinse aid and only 1/2 the detergent recommended; everything came out beautifully. This did not work with Kitchenaid. My glasses were clouding and food got up into the glasses but wouldn't rinse out. I absolutely have to use rinse aid, and lots of detergents. I went to the tabs of Electrosol as they had the highest phosphorus and that did the trick although it's not perfect every time. It has also failed twice. I suggest anyone having problems with cleaning in any dishwasher to play with the detergent, rinse aids and temperatures if possible.
