Good Points

- Tracks are sensibly priced (5-15 US cents each). Anybody still paying the fortunes that iMusic etc charge needs their head examining.
- They have all the Beatles work and the NOW! series (both UK and US versions) as well as loads of other albums that are legally unavailable there.
- Better selection than mp3search.ru and unlike that site remains easy to use

Bad Points

- Occasionally the selection lets me down, but generally you can tell that music lovers have put the music here, not music industry marketing geeks.

General Comments

All of MP3 (www.allofmp3.com): I am constantly amazed at the large numbers of people who willingly throw their credit card details at large, already exceptionally wealthy organisations like Apple and Coke. It's not that they think 70p/99USc is a fair price for a track; it's just that they're so caught up in the iPod marketing machine that they don't think to look for cheaper alternatives (and that goes for the iPod itself too).
Because MP3 vendors don't pay for artwork, packaging or distribution and have only minimal one-off costs for putting the tracks up, they don't HAVE to charge CD prices for online songs. It's just that the large music industry we have is unwilling to scale itself down. The same amount of money gets to the artist whether we pay through iTunes or a 'Russian' site; the difference is that we pay up to ten times as much with the Apple deal. Where does the money go? Not to the musicians, but to the bloated advertising machine they operate so they can launch another multi-million dollar campaign to get us to buy yet more songs on iTunes.
Personally, I prefer to use a range of cheaper but still legal alternatives and allofmp3.com heads the lot.

I had checked it out and signed up for it but the credit card wasn't accepted. Thought that was dodgy therefore, decided not to go through.

I agree with this review and think that allofmp3 is a good site. There's no need to pay over the odds for music downloading.

absolute nonsense. allofmp3.com abuses a loophole in russian law - they do NOT have permission from the labels to distribute/sell music...they have a strange licensing deal with the recording rights association in Russia. $9.99 is EXPENSIVE? for a full album?! if you value music, does that not make it valuable? why are you not prepared to pay for that value? i'm a producer and a musician. it's not possible to record an album with the production quality that major releases have these days and make the money back selling albums at $1.50; it's just not possible. further more, the fact that you CAN'T get music on allofmp3 when it is officially released (there are always a couple days of delay) should point to something questionable - labels make albums available online and in stores simultaneously, that's why it's a REALEASE DATE.

then, you can find music on allofmp3 which is unavailable on itunes. sounds good but why isn't it on itunes? because those artists/labels have decided not to release the music digitally. so why is it on allofmp3?
