General Comments

The real steel colt Delta Elite handgun is a 10mm automatic pistol used by the American armed forces/ special forces etc. It is based on the ubiquitous Colt 1911 service pistol.

The KWC offering was a pleasant surprise for me, better than many of my Marui models in both finish and power. This is the black hop up version, pay around 30 pounds for one.

The model is finished in satin black to a high standard,the fixed sights are easy to use and have a built inwhite mark on the foresight to help sighting targets.

The model has a nice feature in that with the removel of one bar from the centre of the gun, the whole top slide can be removed for cleaning and re-lubing ( this is called 'take down' of the gun). The cocking action is smooth and not too hard for younger shooters. The magazine capacity is about 14 rounds, please use good quality 0.2 gram BBs, not the cheap yellow jobs!

Power and accuracy are really very good for a cheap spring pistol and compared to many models at this price point, it shines!

I get 2 inch groupings at 5 yards and consistently hit a 8x8 inch metal target at 15 yards (45 feet)

Overall a nice model for what you pay, but obviously really only a backyard/ open space plinking/ target shooter, it will not compete against Gas or electric guns if you play airsoft against others!

A safety catch is provided which prevents firing when engaged.
