    Yes

Animal Friends Pet Insurance: When I got the letter through in Dec 2005 to renew my dogs pet insurance for Feb I was shocked to say the least.
I was paying £13.50 a month and it had gone up to £17.99, even though I had never made a claim that year.
When I challenged this I was told it wasn't personally reflected upon the individual whether they have claimed or not, but the overall percentage of the overall customers.
I am NOT renewing this policy, I have gone elsewhere, and yes even though they don't do life long protection at least I am better off with insurance costing £6 less a month than nothing at all!!
Its the principal of it.

I don't think the fact that it went up by 33% is a good enough reason to single out one company for criticism, when they ALL put up their fees by 33%. Petplan have just put up my renewal from £199 to £266 on a one year old dog with no claims. That too is £33%. I think getting the cheapest cover for what you want without cutting cover is the way to compare companies. Like for like.

My God even human insurance goes up without filing a claim. These companies want to be their for you when you do need them and inflation is a part of life. I think this person is looking for a free ride.

Not only that, but Animal Friends is not for profit - hardly a self-interested greed orientated company out to make as much profit for itself as possible. 100% of their net profits go back into animal welfare. How many other pet insurance companies can make this claim?
