Good Points

Music channel and various other video on demand services are good, and to my knowledge cannot be found on any other service. It also provides relatively cheap calls and internet all-in-one, which takes the hassle out of choosing several different providers.


Bad Points

Customer service is appalling. The frequency of malfunctions to the set top box were alarmingly high, but I was told that was due to Homechoice introducing a new service to the platform which caused technical problems. The difficulty was trying to get Homechoice to rectify the problem as my calls were on hold for a long period of time, and I was being charged by Homechoice for the calls to rectify their technical problems!

Finally, the billing is confusing as there are a series of credits and debits which utterly confuse as to what is being charged! More often than not, my bills are fairly large, but I do not know whether that is because a payment has been missed, or whether that it just one monthly payment!


General Comments

In summary, I would recommend Homechoice Digital TV to those who want an all-in-one package, but beware that there are many faults with the service, and if all goes pear shaped, don't expect a fast, efficient and helpful service. Until these wrinkles are ironed out Homechoice remains a second class service.
