Design and price
Customer service - I believe that the IKEA items are more expensiuve in the UK than the Continent. Yet IKEA claim that Internet buying has not been introduced for reasons of costs. Yet on the Continent you can purchase over the telephone, by faX or via the Internet. In this country you need to visit and waste a lot of time.
No order tracking with Ikea, information given over the telephone is not helpful. My order has had the status of Trying to Pick for a very long time, and I do not know when I shall finally receive the goods. In future I shall not buy at IKEA unless circumstances dictate it. Also the store layout leaves much to be desired. You are virtually sent on an expedition before you arrive at the destination wanted. More user friendliness and better customer care are required.
