Weight is superb, very pointable, Accuracy is what you expect from Air Arms, very very good, re-fill with stirrup pump easier than I had imagined, Walnut stock (an upgrade I chose) is beautiful, Whisper quiet with the Logun silencer. Bolt action smooth and reliable
Nothing, nothing at all.
I have been using my Air Arms s400 Carbine now for over a year. I really look after this rifle and it has been a joy to use. It was my first PCP rifle ever, and came highly recomended from the seller. And I can see why.
I wanted a light rifle, with ultra accuracy, and having since purchase two other rifles, also PCP, I still go back to my AAS400 time after time, making it my choice for Field Target shoots, and hunting. I really can't fault this gun in any way.
There is perhaps one fault, although how can I call it a fault when it has never really bothered, and thats the lack of saftey. Now Air Arms have added a safety catch to the trigger, so any new rifle will have this feature.
I upgraded the stock to walnut and wow, it looks the business. I treat my stock with a special walnut stock finisher, it really brings out the grain. I also uprated the power slightly, giving me around 14ft/b of power. Not too high, as I wanted a good number of shots from each charge, which is still around the 50/60 decent shots per charge level.
I have never used such an accurate rifle, I also own a Falcon Light hunter, and a Rapid 7. Both are good in their own way, but the Air Arms is a better rifle in terms of accuracy.
I will never sell this gun, although that was my inital intention when I purchase the rapid, I seriously couldn't part with her, quality through out and highly reccomended as one of the very best single shot PCP's you can buy.
A brilliant gun for a complete beginer, youngster or an old pro. Perfect for field targte and so light weight you can carry this thing round muddy fields all day long and not even feel it.
I have not had one problem with this gun, if you look after it, and treat it with the respect it deserve, you wont have any problems either. Treat it harshly, heavy handedly and you may experiance obvious issues.
Brilliant.
