General Comments

Got a great saving on my car insurance by using Sheilas Wheels. I have told my friends to give Sheila a ring to see if they can get reduced quotes and they've all managed it. This lot don't insure blokes, which helps them keep their prices low - they don't have to pay out because of clumsy Mr Magoo's and boy racers!!! The girls are quids in and that's just the way I like it!! Plus they have the best adverts on TV!!!! Go Sheila!!!!

This is very interesting but are women drivers REALLY better than us men? I do not know the true answer as I am not privy to valid accident statistics but I do know of a number of women who have, as 'named drivers,' spoilt their husband's N.C.B. in which event I suspect that such is recorded as a 'male accident.' I know of no male driver who is a 'named driver' on a vehicle principally driven by a female. It is overall very strange how insurance companies work and all too easy to legally trick them: When your policy next falls for renewal (male or female driver) go into your insurance company's web site and ask for a quote - giving the total of your N.C.B. Because of the way most (possibly all) insurance companies computers are programmed it will generally give you a substantial discount - presuming that you are a new customer. The renewal price you receive through the post, just before the policy expires, is invariably much more. Take the better online quote. This one of many legal tricks which will generally induce a better price than one which is given by a specialist insurance company. My wife returns home each evening cursing about other drivers: Last week's tally was four old ladies and one male lorry driver. Incidentally, how do you ladies secure insurance if your name is not 'Sheila?'

this reads more like a covert planted advert than a review. how much did the writer save and what alternative quotes from ordinary shopping around? I have received quotes before ( not SW as I am a bloke1) with a £1,000 high-low range , and the best was not "Bruce's Bumpers" or any company which disciminated in favour of mere men, just one which wanted my business. If a lady can get a great deal from Sheila's Wheels fine, but do not believe the advertising hype, and watch the renewal when most discounters try and use inertia to cover their swingeing increases!

Anyone who has had the misfortune to deal with this company will know full well that this review is a plant by the company to try and falsely boost their reputation. Do NOT trust this review, read the others and judge for yourself based on those.

I agree with bunn51. Firstly; the way in which the review is written is in an extremely persuasive manner. For instance, in the good and bad points they list 'Don't insure men' and 'None here ladies'. This can create a relationship and form of unity between a female reader and the reviewer. The name of the reviewer also reinforces this (Girl Power). Secondly; they then state the main advertising point: 'This lot don't insure blokes, which helps them keep their prices low'. It's just my opinion and of course I could be wrong, but it just seems a bit fishy to me. ESPECIALLY when you read the other reviews! If what their saying is true then brilliant, but if I was you, I wouldn’t just believe this review-I’d check the others too! Oh, and finally; the reviewer (At the time of me writing this) has made no other reviews-account set up to advertise? I do believe!

I have just found all these comments laying into my review of Sheilas Wheels. It seems a few Blind Bruces' on here can't seem to accept the fact that women are a less risky insurance proposition than men.

The fact that my character has been assasinated by some of these Blind Bruces' also disgusts me. It seems that if a review isn't negative then it's not acceptable.

I drive a decent car, I got a good quote and I thought that information was worth sharing with other women. The quote was the best I found at the time of searching and I am happy to stand by that. So what if I haven't posted the full financial details of my quote? Would you have gone into such detail?

I think all the conspiracy theorists should take their heads out of their bums and get a life.

And as for my username. I'm a Spice Girls fan.

And as for Razzmar3, does that stand for 3 reviews?? Because your review count is not exactly prolific either!!! Obviously this makes you a 'covert' advertiser.......

What does Girl Power really expect? If she choses to use this forum to jump on her feminist bandwagon yeh why the hec shouldn't the guys have a go at her? If you can't stand the heat keep out of the kitchen.
You could have worded your review as an informative and factual opinion of the service you received and may I say how lucky you are, if the comments of the other contributors are considered.
This is nothing to do with character assasination but it is about you being a silly little girl. The days are long gone when the female of the species could think she could let the perceived timidness of her sex go before her.
Don't expect to dish out the dirt without having it thrown back at you.

Very well said Letsgetsorted, I was'nt sure if the review was to commend a good service or just an opportunity to use this platform as an anti man campaign.

Hopefully, these views are in the minority and sexist comments should not be tolerated from either gender.

I wonder how long an insurance company would last before being hauled through the courts for selling policies to men only.

I had to have a look at SW reviews, and you seem to have had very lucky dealings! If only you had not been such a misandrist. Though you may have your reasons. . .
