General Comments

I use one for research purposes and it positively devours batteries. I'm lucky to get 30 shots out of a new set of good quality alkaline batteries. I am not impressed.....
That and the fact that the clock resets itself whenever the batteries die is not a good selling point. Olympus may be good at optics and build quality, but their electronics are very poor.

I agree with what you say and also find the camera very poor in low light conditions. The flash is worse than useless and will not illuminate anything over 4 feet. I find the closer you are to your subject, the sharper the picture are. I can only get decent pictures when the light outside is bright. Not a patch on my previous camera, the Olympus 860L. Jim

I use the camera for research and I too find that the camera positively eats battery power. There are few outlets that stock the higer MB memory card and it was difficult to locate one. The price of the same was too high considering the age of digital now.
I also found that its focusing ability on zoom is poor and that images arent clear and are very distorted. Great idea for a value for money product but it could have been more effective at doing its job, even with the price in mind.
