Fantastic gameplay
Good graphics & sound (particularly the music)
Broad range of difficulty levels
No limit to replays - every game is different
Can be difficult to get into
A few bugs have been reported - my copy crashed once in about four (long) games
Civilization IV is one of THE classic PC games. The gameplay is practically unchanged since the original version (10+ years ago), except for gameplay tweaks (such as a winning through 'culture'), and major graphics and sound improvements.
The latest version includes multiplayer support out of the box, so you can play with your friends over the internet.
Civilization may devour your time, so don't be surprised if you start a game, then look up and 4 hours have passed :-)
