Good Points

Dual screen, touch screen, light, GBA game slot, sleep function, and rechargeable battery.

Bad Points

No sleep for GBA games, and it is a little heavy.

General Comments

This new device created by Nintendo called the Nintendo DS literally blows the PSP right out of the water into space.

It has good 3D graphics (not as good as PSP's). It also has the ability to play GBA games. It has an alarm clock and a clock. It even has a calendar. PSP can only play 3D games, play movies, and play music; and the PSP's pixels burn out within 2 months (well that's what I heard). It's very good for home use and on the go.

Highly recommended over the PSP!

A few things. The PSP's pixels don't burn out within 2 months. I know that because I have one as do my friends. I also know that the DS has no where near the graphical power of the PSP, nor anywhere near its multimedia capabilities. I know that because I own a DS as well. The PSP and DS have different target markets- the DS is aimed more to younger children while the PSP, with its wider age-range games, appeals to generally older buyers with more money. To say the DS blows the PSP away is a little odd, as apart from the touch screen functions and backwards compatability with GBA, the DS offers nothing over the PSP. The games of the DS are only good in their context- if Mariokart was released on PSP, it wouldn't do particularly do well apart from with loyal mario fans as there are other, more exciting and more in-depth racing games out, such as Burnout legends. By the way I've completed Mariokart. Animal-crossing? Wouldn't do well at all, except with younger buyers. The latter can surf the web, play movies, songs, store pics and even watch TV. These are abilities the little Nintendo could only dream of.

As far as graphics go, yeah the PSP kicks Nintendos butt - I don't have the PSP or the original DS but I do have the DS lite, much better than the PSP and the original DS. The DS lite will have the opera browser coming out for it in December and you can buy a media player which can put 10 full movies on it - that's much better than the PSP where you could fit like, one music video on it and then fill up your memory card. The PSP also has pixel problems. I don't recommend the DS or PSP but that's my opinion.

Just to let you know, the ds can do multimedia, just not right out of the box. There are 2 ways: Play-Yan, a japanese import device and Maxtor's 4 GB HDD for the ds.
