Excellent picture quality.
Sound level may not be adequate.
The Goodmans GDB7CA freeview box installs very easily, and it worked 'straight from the box' once it had run through the built in setup procedure.
The first problem was the poor reception, but this was eventually cured by replacing the ordinary coax cable (from the wall socket to the box) with a satellite cable. The next issue was the inadequate sound level - nothing in the manual. This was resolved by increasing the sound level using the handset (who says read the instructions first?), But it needs to be on maximum for my Sony TV.
I paid £60 at Salisbury's to include a £20 joining fee and £8 for the first months rental for Top-up TV. A week later I'm still waiting for them to come back from their Christmas holiday so that I can register the (included) card and see the extra channels.
