Good Points

Good feature listing for price (£150 from Richer Sounds). Looks pretty future-proof.

Bad Points

Machine is going back as I have not been able to successfully play a movie due to the machine "hanging". Remote looks and feels cheap.

General Comments

I have spent many hours trying to configure the machine so that it wil perform the most basic of functions - to play a DVD. I relise now that it is not me but the machine that is at fault. RS have been great and will exchange without question. I've lost confidence in the quality of this product and am considering a Sony or a Tosh.

I've had the same problem. Fully agree with all the good points, including that (with a bit of manual reading and testing) this baby will output Dolby ProLogic via the two left and right output sockets to my old DPL amp! (Can't afford a 5.1 amp yet)

But...my first machine hung after 1.5 hours into "Dune", recovered after being turned on and off, played another movie fine, then did exactly the same thing with "Attack of the Clones". So it went back to RS Kingston, similarly, no problem, very friendly. Machine number 2, so far so good.
The only difference in set-up was to minimise a potential heat source, my Grundig digibox - the player did get very warm in the centre. Perhaps that was the problem.
I'd still recommend the player on price and features
