General Comments

I ordered a bed and a mattress from Bargain Furniture on 28/10/05. Delivery date was to be 1/12/05. On 30/11/05 someone called Paul phoned me and said that the items were out of stock. When I asked why he had waited until the day before the due delivery date to contact me. He then said that the items were not out of stock but were damaged. He said he would have replacement stock soon and arranged to deliver on 14/12/05. I then got an e-mail stating that delivery would be on the 22nd / 23rd December 05. I contacted the company and spoke to someone called Martin. He told me that the delivery had been postponed due to the heavy snow in the Midlands. I pointed out that there had been no snow in the whole of the UK for several weeks. At this point he became abusive and told me to request a refund in writing. This I did. I then spoke to them who promised me a refund and subsequently sent me an e-mail confirming that my order had been cancelled and that I would get a refund in the next 30 days. I then received an e-mail stating that the furniture would be delivered sometime in January 2006. I can now not contact the company. They do not answer the phone.
