We have used Vodafone's Datacards here at www.2u.co.uk since they first came out and have found them to be excellent in 3G areas and slow in GPRS areas, but this is to be expected, and the 3G coverage is expanding. I suppose we tend to think of GPRS as 'better than nothing' if you have no other way of getting online.
One card just stopped working, and of course this took hours of calls while we went through all the options to prove to the customer care team that it really was a fault with the card! Having said this, the replacement turned up pretty quickly.
The Vodafone Mobile Connect 3G/GPRS Data Card can become faulty, so be prepared to exhaust all options to convince customer care team that it isn't your incompetence.
Note for Outlook users - If using Outlook don't forget to change your SMTP settings, or your email will not work. Change SMTP to send.vodafone.net; you can do this by choosing Tools/Email Accounts (you will not need to change your pop3 settings).
