Good Points

What a cracker for accuracy
Magic for hunting ft/hft
Superb balance, and can be held pretty steady with one hand (not good practice)
Style - Superb
Finish is superb
Quiet (with a silencer)
Consistent power


Bad Points

The early model has got no safety, but the new model has.


General Comments

I wanted a rifle for hunting and ft, and after a lot of reading I found that the Air Arms S400 Carbine .22 was the gun for me. What a decision! It is perfect for me, and after zeroing my Hawke Mill-Dot 3-9 x 50IR Nite-Eye scope to 35 yards (resting), I can get every shot in a 12mm circle and at 15 yards (using the Mill-Dots). I can hit the top of our pin board pins (wife not too pleased) every time, thus having to go and buy the smallest headed pins (approx 2mm) to test myself, and I can hit 7 out of 10 with 1 shot.
At 35 yards standing I can place all my shots easily.
