Tons of accessories, inexpensive, accurate, out of the box trigger is adequate.
The stock has a bit too short of a pull for a normal sized adult.
I own 2 Ruger 10-22's, however, with all the accessories that can be bought for this fine rifle, one could literally have 100's of different combinations based off the same 10-22 frame with minimal effort and time.
Out of the box, the Ruger 10-22 is a handsome rifle, albeit nothing fancy. My newer model included a scope base that had both weaver and 3/8 dovetail grooves on it. It sports a 10 shot rotary magazine that feeds any ammunition I put through it flawlessly. In its stock version, the 10-22 is quite accurate. I am able to get nickle sized groups at 25 yards out of most any ammunition I put through it. My heavy barrel version likes lower velocity target rounds best. Both are wonderfully accurate out to 50 yards, with a decided edge going to the target barrel configuration. The length of pull is a bit short, but there are dozens and dozens of aftermarket stocks that can be bought for it. With aftermarket stocks, shrouds, trigger kits, barrels, magazines, and everything else, I would venture to say that the Ruger 10-22 is the most customizable firearm in the world.
