General Comments

I got the Falcon Prairie PF-25 air rifle about 3 weeks ago. First impressions were that this gun is a bit bigger than I had expected, unlike some first impressions of the FN-19, however, it points and handles like a dream. Aesthetically, the gun is a work of art with fine lines and details one would expect at this price point.

The gun is 45 inches long and weighs under 7 lbs. It has an 8 shot rotary magazine that feeds any normal sized pellet (14-21gr) that I put through it flawlessly. I have not tried the ultra heavy pellets such as Eun Jins, nor have I tried odd shaped pellets such as Predators. The thumb-hole stock fits like a glove, and the ergonomics no doubt help with the accuracy of this fine rifle. The relatively small air cylinder gives plenty of consistent shots. I get around 30 shots at 30fpe before I refill. Even with a hand pump, refilling is a breeze as it only takes 55-65 pumps to fill to 3000psi. Good news for those who do not have a SCUBA tank handy, or live too far from a shop to get it filled.

Accuracy is top notch. I have only tested to 25 yards, but at that range, this gun is a one holer if the shooter does his/her part. Like all small-bore PCP's, this gun is recoilless which aids in accuracy. Also, being an 8 shot repeater, follow up shots, if needed, are easy.

I have tested the following pellets through my PR-25 so far:
CP's 14.3 gr
JSB Exacts 16gr
Beeman Kodiaks 21gr
RWS Dome 14.3gr
Gamo Hunter 16gr
and all performed quite well, with a slight edge in accuracy to the JSB's, Kodiaks, and CP's. I'm sure that long range accuracy would require the use of the heavier JSB's and Kodiaks, and would also carry more energy downrange.

At a price tag of over $1k, this gun is not cheap, but exemplifies the true meaning of a precision adult airgun that can be used for FT, target shooting, hunting, pest control, or just plinking.
