General Comments

We bought our Sony KV-28LS36 Widescreen TV from a leading UK department store. Because we did not have an outside aerial on our house, we ran the TV through a cable company. Whenever an aerial was finally installed we linked the TV up to receive terrestrial TV - this was 15 months after buying it.

The TV never worked properly with terrestrial, and despite the TV having been returned to the store on 4 different occasions, the same faults arose. I do not believe that this was in any way down to the store, but rather a faulty TV. The terrestrial channels either did not appear at all, or if it did it jammed on a channel.

I have had a Sony TV, Sony DVD, Sony laptop and a Sony palmtop. All of them except the DVD have had to be returned for repair. Sony is an expensive make, and you would expect total reliability, however, my own experiences with Sony have been painful. I would always recommend a friend to buy something else.
