Prices and free delivery
Waiting times. Website is poor. Customer service is way below expectation.
HMV recently introduced free postage and packaging, so I decided to buy a few things from their sale. One item had it's price changed on the website and was removed from my order without an email to let me know. I started to wonder what I'd let myself in for, so I tried to cancel an order for an item around £70. I got no email to let me know what was happening, and it took a week and a half for anything to show on the website. Eventually, my account came up with a message "awaiting cancellation", which I didn't feel was decisive enough. Turns out, it had been cancelled, but the emails I wrote to confirm this were never answered.
The other items I ordered took almost a month to arrive, and the status on the web account was not updated until after the items had come through my letterbox!
Best avoided for expensive items, and generally, it's better to go elsewhere on the 'net until HMV sorts itself out.
