Looks.
Poor quality fixtures and fittings. It just doesn't do what it says on the box i.e. keep items cool.
A triumph of style over substance. We bought our SMEG FAB 28 Retro fridge freezer about three years ago. After 13 months we had a problem with the thermostat/coolant system; There was a blockage in the pipes that circulate the coolant fluid. That was fixed, then the shelves gave up the ghost. Clearly the Baby Bells were too heavy! The door seal doesn't seal the fridge compartment. This means that even with the thermostat on its lowest setting, you cannot keep items at a cool safe temperature. We put milk and fresh meat in the freezer compartment, but that no longer works properly, and it thinks it's the fridge. Clearly this appliance is in need of therapy.
I've rated ease of use as 1, because all you have to do is open the door. Sadly it doesn't always close properly.
