Good Points

Easy to use and good color balance outdoors. Very efficient Zoom.

Bad Points

Barrel distortion, purple fringing, no zoom in movie mode.

General Comments

I've been using C700 since summer 2002 and I really like to take outdoor pictures with it. Colors are good and natural also in fully automatic mode. Indoors the tripod is a must since pretty long exposure times are needed. Also a white balance isn't that natural indoors. Longer exposure and flash produce quite nice pictures also indoors. More than purple fringing, the barrel distortion bothers me, but that's the price one must pay for using the 10xZoom camera. Camera is easy to use, except for the manual mode menu. I haven't yet managed to save the settings I want to use. Every time when camera is turned on, settings must be changed in manual mode. I have heard about similar problems from other C700 users.
