Mostly reliable, good driving position. Overhead shelf in cabin, side door
Slow, only 65bhp
The Renault Kangoo van is 'W' plate ex British Gas vehicle, which make good second hand buys due to low mileage, being a higher spec model, and they have generally been looked after. The van came with the BG racking which was a big selling point for me.
On the bad side the engine is just too slow, if you can, get a newer HDi. Its also very noisy as it is working so hard, its not unusual for the speed to drop to sixty on the motorway with a slight incline or headwind.
Grip is acceptable although it does lean over a lot when cornering, which doesn't inspire confidence.
Access to the back is good with the odd sized rear doors as well as the very useful side door option.
Reliability over the 30k miles i've driven it has been good, only a couple of minor niggles, the indicator stalk and the ventilation fan speed control. In fact apart from MOT's it hasn't seen a garage yet, not bad for a Renault.
