Dirty Hippo sends unsolicited text messages to Cingular customers and God knows who else. You will be billed $9.99 a month without ever signing up for their service. I deleted the incoming message without opening it and was still charged for receiving the message. They also bill under the name of Blinko - SAME COMPANY. If your phone is filed with the do not call registry, you can file a complaint with donotcall.gov.

I recieved 5 SMS Text Messages from Blinko.com with the same 5 digit pin code even though I never even signed up for it. I have Tmobile which charged me 5 cents for each message. I called Tmobile. They said they blocked Text messages from the number 42222 which is Blinko's. But Tmobile refused to refund the 25 cents charged to my account. From the way they talked, it looks like Tmobile knows about this. As soon as I asked for the refund of the incoming text messages, immedietely the agent refused as if she was waiting for me to ask for the refund. The supervisor also refused. His name was Dave agent ID # 122400. He also refused to stop the Text Message Service to my cell phone. So if this happenes again, I would have to pay again. I think Tmobile and other cell phone operators are hand in hand with these sleezy websites.
