Good Points

Interior space, Great design, Great roadholding, Good fuel economy, Willing Engine.


Bad Points

Poor residual value, Poor Dealer Network, Expensive Repairs.Usual Fiat Electrics.


General Comments

For some reason i feel I like the Multipla. It's everything I dont want to like but it has a practicality and charm all of its own! It's like falling in love with an aesthetically challenged woman! But it's economic versatile and just loves to please. I had a crank sensor go at 30,000 miles(sensor cost £20 and repair bill £700 courtesy of the dealership and the crank seal leak was still unfixed!). The tracking needs seeing to more often than a Scalextrix car! But cannot deny it is normally cheap,roomy reliable motoring and actually really pleasant to drive. It's one of those cars you just know is gonna be a cult thing and ones in good condition in 15 years will be customised and every kid'll want one.

    i know what you mean about the cult thing, i bet you get nods and waves from fellow owner's don't you? i must have sold some of the very first ones in the uk, i worked for fiat when they were first launched, and i gotta say, was very taken with the jtd's driving experience. i'm trying to get my sister who is currently in the market for an mpv to just "test drive" one, she won't beacause the syling's too rad, for her "but she's a sqaure"! they are a joy to drive,but it appears fiat have "wussed out"on the styling and it also appear's fiat have the same electrical gremlins as ever, great car shame the jap's didn't build it but saying that, then it would have no personality.
