Delays, poor facilities at Colombo airport indifferent staff, poor sevice of connecting flights to India
General Comments
I recently travelled from London to Hyderabad via Colombo, the flight service was good till Colombo. I was happy saving some pounds and enjoyed the Air Sri Lanka service but my happiness was shortlived till I arrived Colombos Katunayakes aiport which was a mediocre one though they tried to improve the reception and seating a bit. Staff as usual , my transit was of 5 hrs I was given a meagre breakfast of tea and sandwich, and later told my flight delayed for 2 more hours altogether 7 hrs of stay(TOO MUCH). They never apologised, for the delay, no proper communication ,indifferent staff, crowded and stinky toilets, cleaner asking for money for providing tissue paper, sales girls pressurising and confusing you to buy items you are not sure of, making you embarassed if you don't at the duty free stores. Poor quality of security check literally groping you, no separate female compartment. poor quality flights from Colombo to Hyderabad, very jerky landing that made my laptop slip and fell on floor, causing malfunction( for which I think I will sue the airlines) for not providing instructions for laptop safety by the air hostess even though it was quite visible to them as the flight was half empty and of course that very jerky landing .
Overall not so good airline to travel , so spend some extra bucks and travel with some good and trustworthy airlines

Sorry but a laptop should be stowed away as a carry-on item during the landing. I'm convinced you will not stand a chance taking the airline to trial.
