Good Points

Lots of Grunt, Looks stunning, handles well, good on petrol if driven sensibly, leave any fiesta, corsa etc behind.

Bad Points

If you crash your in for it e.g. got as much side protection as a piece of paper!

General Comments

My Vauxhall Nova 1.4 SR Has got twin webber 40s, a K&N induction kit, a 4 branch manifold, and straight through Magnex exuast system. This means that it is fast for a first car. It has also got upgraded shocks and springs with 15inch alloys and wide tyres. This means that it handles well. It also looks lovely in very shiney black with a rear spoiler. A very nice starting car as long as no rust is present.

A 2ltr gte turbo will be a quick car. A Saxo VTR is a quick car. Everything is quick if you beleive it is and want it to be. I prefer a Nova. I'd rather a 2ltr gte turbo lump in a nova than I would a Saxo. If you have the time and money anything is quick. Try £25k for 2 calibra v6 turbo engines 2.8 or 3.2 Im not sure. stuffed front and rear of the humble Nova and push 0-60 in 2.73 secs.600+ bhp.(read it in max)I wouldnt mind. But then again anything is possible. You could probably do the same in a saxo with 2 williams clio v6 24-valve stuffed front and rear. Got money and time go for it. A fiesta xr2 with a cossie or rst lump front and rear. Again got money and time try it. If you don't like novas dont bother with them just leave them. You don't have 2 drive them.enjoy chaps hope my reveiw has opened some eyes and shut some mouths.

The twin 2.0 16v turbo engines in the Max Power Nova where both from calibra's. It was 4 wheel drive and was running a whopping 696bhp with 0-60 in 2.63 seconds. Thats nearly the fastest car on the planet (Except for R&j's 900bhp evo!!) I can guarantee that 696bhp in a nova would whoop any car on the road these days and put all you boy racers to shame. Why mod all your fiestas with lexus lights when you could produce a monster like this.
