The discovery is nearly indestructible and less expensive than Royalex models
Bad Points
Heavy heavy heavy, next opportunity I have ($$$) I will spring for a Royalex or Royalex lite canoe. The difference in cost will be quickly made up through less frequent visits to the Chiropractor.
General Comments
The Old Town Discovery is an adequate recreational canoe for a first canoe. The Discovery's are heavy! It will take a good beating and come back for more. Check out Mohawk canoes made in Florida, they look to me to be a better canoe, and better bargain all round.
